Build and Materials

The Civic Flat Pouch is made from TX70 Ultra fabric. It looks and feels similar to X-Pac, though with a more plasticky hand. Inside, there's no separate fabric lining — instead the interior uses a film-style coating as the internal surface.

Evergoods describes each side as having its own capacity, but in practice that's only partly true. As you load one side, it pushes into the opposite pocket and reduces the space there. The compartments share more volume than the "independent capacity" description implies.

Capacity and Pack Out

For a flat pouch, it holds a reasonable spread of EDC and tech items, but it reaches its limit quickly. In testing, one side comfortably took:

• A small X-Pac pouch
• A few pens

That combination already maxed out that compartment. A fuller tech load — a Peak Design mobile tripod, a power bank, a multi-tool, a Sharpie, a chapstick holster, and an extra pen — could be squeezed in, but the structure suffered for it. With everything packed, the pouch bulged, lost its flat shape, and would not stand on its own.

Bottom line on capacity: it's a genuinely compact organizer. It handles a slim daily kit well, but it isn't built to swallow a heavy tech loadout without distorting.

Who It's For

This pouch suits someone who wants a lightweight, low-profile organizer for a modest set of EDC or tech essentials, and who appreciates the two-tone zipper system for quick sorting. The high-visibility blue flame color is a plus if you want to spot it fast inside a bag.

On value, the take here is clear: at the $35 price point it's an easy recommendation. At the higher $55 asking price for the other color, the case is much weaker — the pouch is solid and functional, but not remarkable enough to justify spending more. Buyers should also go in aware of the plasticky ultra fabric and the film-lined interior, and the fact that no patch is included despite one shipping with the matching backpack.
